Selah is built to be a quiet, private place with God's Word. Here's exactly what that means for your data.
Selah does not require sign-up or login. There is no account to create and nothing tied to your identity.
Your name (if you give one during onboarding), prayer journal entries, memorization progress, streaks, and settings are stored only in local storage on your phone. We never see them, and they are never uploaded anywhere.
When you tap Listen, the words of the Bible verse (public text, not personal information) are sent to our narration service to generate speech, or fetched from a pre-generated audio library. No personal data is included in that request.
Selah has no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not sell or share data, because we do not collect any to begin with.
Because your data lives only on your device, uninstalling the app deletes your journal, progress, and preferences permanently. There is no cloud backup at this time.
Selah is a general-audience Bible study app. Parental guidance is recommended for children using any mobile app.
If how Selah handles data ever changes — for example, if account sync is added later — this page will be updated and the app's version notes will call it out.
